The Paris Agreement, also known as the Paris Climate Accord, is an international agreement signed by 196 countries in 2015 to combat climate change and limit global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius. However, not all countries have joined the Paris Agreement.

As of 2021, there are only two countries that are not part of the Paris Agreement: the United States and Iran. The United States, under the Trump administration, withdrew from the agreement in 2017, citing economic concerns and alleging that the accord would harm American jobs and industry. However, under the Biden administration, the US has rejoined the Paris Agreement in early 2021.

Iran, on the other hand, has not ratified the Paris Agreement despite being a signatory. The country`s reasons for not ratifying the agreement are not clear, but it is believed to be related to economic sanctions and political tensions with the US.

It is worth noting that the Paris Agreement is a non-binding agreement, meaning that countries are not legally required to comply with its goals and targets. However, the agreement is seen as a significant step towards global cooperation on climate change and a symbol of international commitment to the cause.

In conclusion, while almost all countries in the world are part of the Paris Agreement, the United States and Iran are currently not. Nonetheless, the agreement serves as an important platform for countries to work together towards a common goal of combating climate change and protecting our planet for future generations.
